There are a lot of them but they are all entwined with each other.
The primary ones are
- 12 * 100km rides (Virtualbrevet.com challenges)
- 60,80,100,130,160,200km rides (Virtualbrevet.com challenges)
- 100,000 metres of ascent in 2024
- Death Ride (California Tour of the Alps) 163KM, 3992 metres of ascent (blog to follow shortly)
- Half Everest/Everest Base Camp (4424 metres) – not interested in the Everesting rules – this will be just straight ascent.
- 10,000 metres ascent over Xmas in place of the Festive 500
Secondary objectives are
- Complete the Alexis Berthillier Californian rides on Fulgaz. 56 in total – 36 outstanding
- Complete the Zwift 10 hardest rides. I believe I have 5-6 still outstanding including the Full London PRL
- 100Km on Borrego Springs – sub 3:30 but as close to 3:00 as possible.
- I will also be trying to revisit some major European climbs blogged about here
As can be seen a number of these are interconnected. The Alexis Berthillier rides (which are all very hilly) will contribute to the overall climbing total. As will the Death Ride and the 10Km in a week festive challenge. The Half Everest will give me 2 weeks worth of climbing in a single ride.
The Borrego Springs will give me a couple of metric centuries, the Death Ride will add another etc.
Current progress is light, one 100k ride complete, 17K of ascent in January so about 8K above target.
I might even try and get some outdoor riding in.
